Kashmiri art festival starts at Rawalpindi
The Kashmiri Art Festival opened at the Rawalpindi Arts Council here on Monday.
The AJK minister for tourism inaugurated the festival. The work of ‘papier mache’, Kashmiri embroidery, Kashmiri shawls, frames and paintings of different artists were displayed at the festival. Art of ‘papier mache’ was transferred from Iran to Kashmir six hundred years ago and it flourished with full enthusiasm by the Kashmiri artisans. In ‘papier mache’
