PESHAWAR, Dec 29: The first batch of Rehman Medical College (RMC) has shown outstanding result in the first professional annual examination of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), by securing 23 of the top 50 positions.
According to the result declared by Khyber Medical University, Waqar Ahmad Khan of the RMC secured 485 marks out of 600 and stood first while Maryam Bibi with 478 marks secured second position, respectively.

SWAT, Army has decided to arrange a skiing festival in February 2012 followed by a cultural show in July for the tourists in a bid to restore the lost grandeur of the scenic Swat valley.
This was announced by Commanding Officer, Colonel Aslam Nisar Butter here on Wednesday.
He said army was taking special initiatives for restoring cultural activities in the militancy-hit valley besides restoration of peace and development of the district.

According to statistics, 5,144 candidates appeared in the examinations and 1,535 candidates were declared successful in all the six papers. In all, 1,583 candidates cleared five papers while 911 candidates were declared pass in four papers and 573 in three papers. Police quoted the relatives as saying that Museebur Rehman, a student of ninth class, shot himself dead inside his house. The Takht Nusrati police are investigating the incident.
