FBISE announces result of SSC Part-I, II Supplementary exams
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on Friday announced the result of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Part-I and II, Supplementary Examination 2012, declaring 42.24 percent candidates successful.
According to an FBISE spokesman, 13,477 students registered for the Part-I examination, but 13,125 appeared in the examination, adding that 6,407 students were declared successful.

50 colleges set up in Punjab in four years, says Minister for Education

Punjab Minister for Education Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman said the Punjab government has opened 50 colleges in the province during last four years, out of which 12 colleges were in Lahore.
Talking to a delegation of students and teachers on Friday, he further said the government was implementing a comprehensive policy to up-grade higher education in the province.

RAWALPINDI – The 12th Convocation of Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) would be held at Convention Center Islamabad today (Friday) at 10:00am.
As many as 693 students having post-graduate degrees, 393 graduate degree holders, 9 students with M Phil degrees and one scholar holding PhD degree would be awarded in the convocation.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Wednesday conducted a successful test of it’s mid-range nuclear capable Hatf-V Ghauri ballistic missile according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), DawnNews reported.

KARACHI: The divide between students of public and private schools has grown larger this year.
The statistics speak for themselves: Around 35,300 students from Karachi’s public schools took the matriculation exams in April this year. Only 55 percent of them managed to pass and out of the lucky ones, only 299 could score ‘A1’, the top grade awarded to students who score 80 percent or more.

ISLAMABAD - A three ship formation of JF-17 Thunders landed at an operational Pakistan Air Force (PAF) air base on Monday after participating in the Zhuhai Air Show (China).
A PAF statement revealed that the JF-17 Thunders had participated in the static as well as the aerobatic segment of the air show.
The Thunders had flown more than 3,000 nautical miles (5500 kilometres) and crossed the snow-covered Himalayas en-route to Pakistan.
