LAHORE
THE Punjab government has deprived vice-chancellors (VCs) of public universities of their power to create and fill temporary posts for a period not exceeding six months by deleting a clause from relevant laws of the universities.
Recently, the Punjab government amended laws of all the general education universities of the province which also curbed indiscriminate use of emergency powers by the VCs.
