LONDON (AP) -- The U.S. women are atop the Olympic gymnastics standings, as expected, with little standing in their way - except themselves.
More than the Russians, Romanians and Chinese, the biggest challenge for the gold medal may come from how they deal with world champion Jordyn Wieber's failure to qualify for the all-around final Sunday. She was bumped by her best friend on the very last routine.

China's Chen & Li advance to last 16 in badminton
LONDON (AP) -- Asian Games champion Chen Long of China banished a bad memory when he reached the last 16 in Olympic badminton by beating Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand 21-12, 21-17 in the London Games on Sunday.
The third-ranked Chen lost in the first round in the same Wembley Arena at last year's world championships. That was a surprise, and he was prepared for Boonsak in their group elimination match, though it took Chen almost an hour to put out last month's Singapore Open

Stop Complaining About How NBC Covers the 2012 London Olympics Until You Stop Watching
I often half-joke that complaining is the first and ultimate love of the casual American sports fan. There is no such thing as a sports fan in this country being happy all of the time. We complain about our teams when they win, complain when they lose, and complain about announcers calling games on TV and/or radio. If you're a die hard sports fan who visits sports websites or watches sports-related TV on a daily basis, it's a safe bet that you whine about something roughly 300 days a year; and
