I am away now on a two-month summer break from the Guardian. I'm off researching my book on Roman Britain (Jonathan Cape, 2013 or 2014) and pottering around Hadrian's Wall, York, Lincoln et al in the camper van. I'll be back here from the beginning of August, with tidings of the Edinburgh festival.
