GMT A secondary school in West Yorkshire has removed mirrors from its toilets to try to stop pupils applying make-up.
Shelley College, in Huddersfield, has taken the mirrors down to stop girls in Years Nine to 11 wearing make-up.
The school said it had stopped its tolerance of "discreet" make-up for the age group as it had proved "ambiguous".
Head teacher John McNally said in a statement: "The vast majority of parents and students are very supportive of this change."
