Prof Dr Rehana Firdous has been appointed as the first female Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Studies at the University of Karachi (KU). A notification issued on Monday said that Dr Firdous was appointed as Dean on November 14. She received her PhD degree from the University of London in 1990 on the Quaid-e-Azam Merit Scholarship.
