Punjab govt names academic award after dengue victim nurse
LAHORE: The Punjab government has given a compensatory amount of Rs 5 lakh to the bereaved family of Asma Kanwal, the nurse student who lost her life to dengue while serving the ailing humanity in the Lahore General Hospital (LGH).
Further, the provincial government has decided to give ‘Asma Kanwal Award’ every year to the nurse student acquiring first position in the second year of LGH nursing school. Also, it was announced
