The race for the next Arts Council president heats up
The two parties that will be contesting in the upcoming elections of the Arts Council of Pakistan have begun their campaigns by holding meetings and receptions in honour of their nominated representatives.
The first of these two parties, known as the ‘Shahr-e Quaid Panel’ (SQP), is nominating famous actor Omar Sharif for the position of president, while the second group, known as the ‘Ahmad Shah – Ejaz Faroqui Panel’ (ASEFP),
