RAWALPINDI Forensic medicine Move to reduce teaching period resented Pakistan Medical and Dental Council

RAWALPINDI Forensic experts and health authorities are at loggerheads after curriculum committee of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) recommended reducing teaching period of forensic medicine to two weeks from one year.

They termed the decision as disaster for the medico-legal system in the country.

The subject of forensic medicine is taught a year in third year of MBBS and it helps police and judiciary in investigation of unnatural deaths, sexual harassment, violence, alcohol
