Student Movement in India
“Though, the student movement in its organized form is of a recent origin in this province, yet spasmodic student activities can be traced as far back as 1905. During this year there was a strike in the King Edward Medical College, Lahore. It was perhaps the first student strike in India. It was led by Dr. Satya Pal now the President of the Punjab Provincial congress committee. Some racial discrimination between the English and the Indians gave rise to this strike.
