Students discuss ways to promote peace between India and Pakistan “I never saw a Zinda Indian (real-life Indian) in my life; this is the first time I am meeting one,” said Noman Khan, a ninth-grade student of the SITE Model School. Noman looked visibly awed. He mistakenly shook hands with the same Indian student twice and insisted that one of his classmates take pictures with the guests. The six-member Indian delegation, which comprises five students and a team leader, is in Pakistan on a 10-day exchange programme as part of a peace initiative taken by the Rotary Club and Aman Ki Asha. They met the students of SITE Model School and exchanged ideas on ways to overcome friction between the two neighboring countries and promote peace.
