Many injured in Punjab University clash two student groups, the Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) and Imamia Student Organisation (ISO)

THE Punjab University (PU) turned into a battlefield when two student groups, the Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) and Imamia Student Organisation (ISO), clashed with each other, leaving a number of students injured.

The activists of both groups pelted each other with stones while some miscreants also resorted to firing into the air, creating a panic among the students, faculty members and employees. The PU security guards and police present on the occasion failed to control the situation.
