Vague law lets private schools fleece public Punjab government is taking all possible measures to promote education,

LAHORE - At a time when the Punjab government is taking all possible measures to promote education, the private schools in the provincial capital are charging between Rs 6,000 and 12,000 as monthly fees from students up to matriculation, in sheer violation of the ordinance which governs the private sector educational institutions.

The minimum fee being charged from a student is almost equivalent to one-month salary of an unskilled worker, which has been fixed Rs 7,000 by the government. The
