UVAS approves budget with Rs591.9m deficit
LAHORE, June 30: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Syndicate on Saturday approved Rs591.9 million development and non-development budget for the financial year 2012-13.
The university will be facing a deficit of Rs66.778 million — primarily because of non-release of fourth quarter grant of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and increase in salaries by federal as well as Punjab governments.
