HYDERABAD, July 16: PPP legislator Syed Ameer Ali Shah Jamote has said the government is striving to promote education, particularly in rural areas.
Distributing water coolers in a school in Tandojam taluka of Hyderabad on Monday, he said thousands of schools in rural areas were lying closed or were being misused by landlords when the PPP came to power. The government re-opened such schools and recruited teachers to overcome shortage of teachers.
