Laila Shehzada was an eminent painter of Pakistan. Her contribution in the sphere of visual arts was significant at a time when Pakistan had just surfaced on the world map as an independent Islamic state. She remained an active practitioner and a committed painter all her life. Her commitment to art began at a relevantly early age and it continued with a profound love until she breathed her last in a tragic incident on July 20, 1994.
