A newlywed girl committed suicide by taking poisonous pills in the Nishtar Colony area on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Maryam, wife of Ramazan. Police said Maryam was married to her maternal cousin Ramazan almost three months back.
Ramazan, who hailed from Vehari, got a house on rent at Nishtar Colony where he was living with her. Ramazan’s mother and a brother also started to live with them.
