ISLAMABAD: The United States has joined the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in its bid to replace nearly 187 outdated electrical pumps in order to improve the water supply to Islamabad, reduce energy consumption, and decrease electricity bills for the CDA.
The initiative was jointly launched on Tuesday when USAID Country Director Jonathan Conly and CDA Chairman Farkhand Iqbal replaced the first such pump at Fatima Jinnah Park. The project will cost $1.2 million.
