DERA GHAZI KHAN: The private students bagged all the three top positions in the SSC annual examination 2011 here on Tuesday.
As many as 32,112 candidates passed the examination while 18,458 failed, showing the pass percentage of 63.50. Muhammad Irfan (Roll No 714865) of Misali Zakria Higher Secondary School, Muzaffargarh grabbed the overall first position by securing 1009 marks. Mashood Iqbal (Roll No 714538) of Sardar Koray Khan Public School Muzaffargarh, Muhammad Shoaib (Roll No 714785) of Abdalian Science Higher Secondary School Muzaffargarh and Anam Rehman (Roll No 715567) of Misali Zakria Girls Higher Secondary School Muzaffargarh secured the second position with 1008 marks each. Muhammad Abdullah Ibrahim (Roll No 724065) of Government Boys High School Jampur took the third position with 1007 marks.
In the Science Group, Anam Rehman (Roll No 715567) bagged the first position with 1008 marks, Mawra Hafeez (Roll No 722954) of Layyah Girls Public School, Layyah stood second by securing 999 marks. Hira Yaqoob Gurchani (Roll No 701849) of Divisional Public School Dera Ghazi Khan secured the third position with 997 marks.
In the Science Group (boys), Muhammad Irfan (Roll No 714865) of Misali Zakria Higher Secondary School Muzaffargarh grabbed the first position by securing 1009 marks. Mashood Iqbal (Roll No 714538) of Sardar Koray Khan Public School Muzaffargarh and Muhammad Shoaib (Roll No 714785) of Abdalian Science Higher Secondary School Muzaffargarh grabbed the second position by securing 1008 marks each. Muhammad Abdullah (Roll No 724065) of Al-Kamal Boys High School Jampur, Rajanpur stood third with 1007 marks.
In the Humanities Group, Ibrar Hussain (Roll No 105978) and Muhammad Danish (Roll No 102480) – both private candidates – stood first and third position by getting 884 and 867 marks. Muhammad Afzal (Roll No 105563) of Government Boys High School Fatehpur, Layyah grabbed the second position with 881 marks. Safia Manzoor (Roll No 102499) of Al-Manzoor Public School stood first among the girls by getting 950 marks while Zarmina Gul (Roll No 107002) of Government Girls High School Chak No 137/TDA Layyah and Samreen Fatima (Roll No 106995) of Government Girls High School Chak No 279/TDA Layyah got the second and third positions with 929 and 923 marks respectively.
BISE Chairman Dr Bashir Muhammad Gujjar and Controller Examination Abdul Waheed Qaisrani announced the results. Senior Adviser to Chief Minister Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa gave away the prizes to the position holders at the Auditorium.
