Entrance test leak accused bailed

LAHORE:Anti-corruption special judge Mehboob Qadir Shah on Friday granted post-arrest bail to four accused allegedly involved in leaking the entrance test of the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore.

The court granted bail to accused Ahsan, Asif, Adil and Sohail on the submission of surety bonds of Rs 100,000 each.

The accused had filed post-arrest bail applications in the court contending that they were not involved in leaking entry test. They said that they had been implicated in the case on the false bases and the prosecution had no concrete evidence against them. They implored the court to grant them bails. Their request was granted.

Previously, the court had dismissed post-arrest bail of an accused, Shujauaddin.

Initially, police had arrested three accused in this case. Later, five otherS were arrested by Gujjarpurra Police.

UET Security In-charge Lt Col (r) Farooq Ahmed Khan in a complaint had claimed that Anees and his accomplice Shujauddin and Ashraf were involved in stealing and leaking entry test papers.
Police, responding to his complaint, had registered a case No 848/11 under sections 409 (criminal breach of trust by a public servant) and 109 (abetment) of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).The news.
