Sindh govermnet Cadet college to be set up in Mithi

Karachi:The ment on Thursday decided to establish a Cadet College at Mithi (district Tharparkar) at an estimated cost of Rs492.058 million.This decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah at the CM’s House.The meeting was informed that an amount of Rs60 million ha been allocated for the current financial year, while the scheme will be completed within four years.It was decided that the scheme will be sponsored by the Education and Literacy Department, Sindh, which will be established over an acre. It was also decided that till the building is completed, the teaching and training process will be imparted at Elementary College, Mithi.Senior Education Minister Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq informed the meeting that USAID had approved a project of establishment of 2500 high schools in the Sindh province for which an amount of $40 million had been approved. According to the programme, 50 high schools will be established in each district of the province, including Karachi.Pir said that teachers would be imparted training for which $66 million would be spent.The education minister said that special emphasis had been laid on quality education to children and maximum attention towards best efforts for primary education.He said that a ‘think tank’ comprising senior, retired, highly qualified educationists/teachers was being assigned the task to give their valuable suggestions so as to improve the quality of primary education in the province.The news.
