KARACHI: Founder and President of Make A Wish Foundation Pakistan, Mirza Ishtiaq Baig has been conferred Tamgha-e-Imtiaz on behalf of President Asif Ali Zardari by eulogising his meritorious services in the public services, says a press release here on Sunday.
This award is great honour for the institution. Make A Wish Foundation International is a biggest institution of fulfilling the last wishes and it spreads to 40 other countries of the world. Pakistan is also a member country of this institution.
This institution has fulfilled last wishes of hundreds of children who were suffering from incurable diseases in Pakistan. Wishes such as becoming a soldier for one-day, a pilot, meeting with prime minister and chief justice are among the desires which were materialised by Make A Wish Foundation.
Sometimes completion of wishes brings smile on the faces of extremely sick children and inspires them to fight with fatal diseases and courage to survive. It is the mission of this institution that no Pakistani child should leave this world without fulfilling his wish.
