A leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and a provincial minister, Abdul Salam Thaheem died of renal failure at 63 at a private hospital in the city on Sunday.
He left behind four sons, a widow and a large number of friends in mourning. He had been admitted to hospital a week ago, and had been on dialysis. As a PPP leader, he remained devoted to his party from his joining in 1970 as a young chieftain, to his demise on April 22, 2012. He was born in
