KARACHI - The founding trustee of Anjuman-e-Islamia Trust – the sponsor of Jinnah University for Women (JUW) – will not participate in this year’s university convocation on April 27 as the varsity chancellor “is not qualified to preside over the convocation”.
JUW Board of Governors member Mahfooz Yar Khan has stated that the JUW chancellor, Wajeehuddin Ahmed, is a diploma holder from the Jinnah Poly Technique Institute and therefore does not qualify the criteria.
