Oxford University Press to launch book on Lord Wavell and the Raj Britain’s Penultimate Viceroy in India written by Muhammad Iqbal Chawla

Oxford University Press will launch its recent publication, Wavell and the Dying Days of the Raj: Britain’s Penultimate Viceroy in India written by Muhammad Iqbal Chawla. This book attempts to analyze the deeper and complex undercurrents of Lord Wavell’s viceroyalty, a subject which has not been previously touched upon in depth. Speakers at the launch will include Justice Dr Javaid Iqbal, Professor Dr Sheikh Rafique Ahmed, Professor Dr Farhat Mehmood, and Professor Dr Syed Qalb-i-Abid.
