KARACHI, April 24: The World Malaria Day is being observed on Wednesday (April 25) with call for more financing in malaria control efforts and an increased public awareness as the first defence against the disease.
The World Health Assembly at its 60th session in May 2007 had instituted the World Malaria Day for recognising global effort towards effective control of malaria.
About 216 million malaria cases and an estimated 655,000 related deaths are reported every year with the people
