Education citadel fast losing grandeur, reputation

Despite the poor maintenance done from time to time by the government contractors, the specific aroma associated with educational buildings built before the Partition of the sub-continent can still be felt in the air of Muslim Higher School No 1, Saidpur Road.

 

Established in 1813 by Sikhs, the school was named as Khalsa High School representing the centralised might of the Sikh rule stretching from present-day Northern Areas and Kashmir to Delhi and Multan
