LAHORE
THE Punjab government on Wednesday approved the Chief Minister’s Ujaala Programme (CMUP) at an estimated cost of Rs 4.44 billion to give solar panel system to the students of 10th class who scored 50 per cent and above marks in 9th class examinations.
Solar panels would be distributed among the 300,000 successful applicants by December 31 2012.
The energy sector youth initiative programme is continuation of the Punjab government’s youth
