6,000 schools opened by Parvez Elahi shut
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders said on Thursday that the Punjab government closed down 6,000 schools which were opened by former chief minister Ch Parvez Elahi under the Literacy Programme. The sitting regime also made no serious effort to curtail inflation and unemployment in the province. PML-Q parliamentary leader in the Punjab Assembly Chaudhary Zaheeruddin further said in a statement that the government wasted billions of rupees on the projects, detrimental to economy
