Famous Urdu poet Jaun Elia remembered of 10th death anniversary

KARACHI - Noted Urdu poet, philosopher, biographer, and scholar Jaun Elia was remembered on his 10th death anniversary on Thursday.
Jaun Elia was born on December 14, 1931, in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh. He was the youngest of his siblings. His father, Shafiq Hasan Elia, was had a great taste for art and literature and he was also an astrologer and a poet. This literary environment modelled him along the same lines, and he wrote his first Urdu couplet when he was just 8.
