Government College offers admission on ‘political grounds’

PESHAWAR, Nov 6: Government College, Peshawar has given several hundred students the admission to intermediate Part-I class on political grounds, it is learnt.

According to a schoolteacher, some students were given admission to the class after they paid between Rs10,000 and Rs40,000 each to the college administration’s staff and student union leaders.

The sanctioned seats for intermediate Part-I class are 1,610 and they all were filled on merit in August.
