Diabetic foot disease is the most dreadful complication of Diabetes Mellitus, which has reached a pandemic state with an overall prevalence of 8.3 per cent worldwide. About 15 per cent of the total number of people suffering from diabetes ends up developing diabetic foot disease. The rate of amputation globally is as high as 1 per 19 seconds.
