LAHORE, Nov 21: The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid on Wednesday submitted a resolution to the Punjab Assembly, seeking legislation for free education up to matriculation throughout the province.
According to the resolution, under article 25-A of the Constitution, it is the duty of the government to ensure provision of free education to the children between 5 and 16 years of age.
It said the Punjab government must bring legislation in this regard without delay.
