LAHORE: Ruling Princes and Chiefs of India chronicles the origins, family tree and policies of the princely states in colonial India. The book by Sir Lawrence Walter was first published 17 years before independence and emphasised the various issues that needed to be dealt with in the states prior to the transfer of power to the respective maharajas and nawabs.
The book was reprinted by Sangemeel Publications after its owner Afzaal Ahmad received a copy as a gift from a friend four years
