KARACHI: The speakers at the second day of the fifth International Urdu Conference organised at the Arts Council were not as disappointed with the low turnout to the event as they were with the fact that some writers had not been given the recognition they deserve.
Speaking about contemporary literature, Dr Fatima Hassan said it was time women writers were given their right place in Urdu literature. “Isn’t it true that not many women surface in history of Urdu literature?”
