Efforts on to achieve 88pc literacy by 2015, Punjab Education Minister

LAHORE

 

Punjab Education Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman has said that government is working hard to achieve 88 percent literacy rate by 2015 to fulfill international commitment under millennium development goals.

 

He said that 2,62,500 students between the age of 4 and 15 years are getting education under non-formal basic education schools.

 

He said that government is implementing a comprehensive programme for providing modern education
