The Muslim ascendancy in the field of science which flowered between the ninth and thirteenth centuries dwindled because we abandoned the spirit of free enquiry.
This was the crux of the talk titled, “Science in Islam: past, present, and future”, by internationally renowned scientist and social activist Dr Pervez Hoodbhoy, a former professor at the Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, while speaking at the Aga Khan University auditorium on Tuesday
