Schools lacking firefighting equipment to be sealed

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi commissioner has issued directives to install state-of-the-art fire-extinguishing equipment in all multi-storey buildings and private schools in Rawalpindi.

These orders were issued after a fire incident in a private school building in Lahore, which claimed the lives of several children. At least 22 children and a teacher sustained severe burn injuries when their classroom caught fire reportedly due to a gas leakage in Shahdara Town on Thursday.
