LAHORE : The Dawn Media Group, in collaboration with Oxford University Press, organised a two-day 5th DAWN in Education Phonetics Workshop 2013 to assist teachers in acquiring knowledge of the essentials of phonetics.
The workshop offered training to some 230 teachers from 80 schools across Punjab, helping them understand various techniques and enabling them to give theoretical explanation for pronouncing a word in a certain manner so that they could explain it to the pupils.
