Within two months of stepping down as the vice chancellor of the NED University, Engr Abul Kalam, 89, left the world for his heavenly abode on Thursday.
The renowned educationist had left his post on March 15 after serving at the engineering varsity for 16 years.
On May 1, Kalam was admitted to the South City Hospital after fracturing his hip bone. At the hospital, he caught pneumonia after which his condition worsened. The respiratory infection
