The City District Government of Lahore on Monday awarded a cash prize of Rs2,000 to a Class-X student for detecting dengue larvae in Shamnagar locality.
Student Zain Ahmad found the dengue larvae flowing in the water nearby his home.
He poured the larvae and water into a bottle and visited the office of DCO Nasim Sadiq.
After meeting the student, the DCO got mosquito larvae checked by the CDGL’s entomologist who confirmed it as dengue larvae.
The DCO awarded him Rs2000 cash prize,
