KARACHI, While the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) Shareholders Association raised some doubts over the KESC leasing of Unit-3 and Unit-4 of the Bin Qasim Power Station-1 to a newly-formed company for 20 years for coal conversion, an extraordinary general meeting held at the Fleet Club on Friday granted approval to the project.
The KESC is leasing out the units to a foreign company from which the power utility will also be buying electricity after they have been converted to coal
