ISLAMABAD/NEW DELHI - India said on Wednesday that talks with Pakistan were still on and despite the recent unfortunate events the proposed meeting of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh with his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif will go ahead in September on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
The encouraging statements from a spokesperson of ruling Congress party and Indian Foreign Minister Salman Khurshid came in face of strong demands from opposition groups for freezing the peace process
