Islamia University of Bahawalpur Established Postgraduate Agriculture College

Bahawalpur: 27 July: The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has established University Post Graduate Agricultural College at Bahawalnagar. This college will initially start departments of Agronomy and Agricultural Extension. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar, Vice Chancellor has expressed the hope this college will be a land mark to boost the agro-economy of the area.
It will not only benefit agriculture and livestock sector, but will also pave the way for setup of agriculture associated industries. The college will also enable the students aspiring to seek agriculture education at their doorstep. This college will produce agriculture experts, available locally to provide timely advice to the farmers. The political and social circles of Bahawalnagar have hailed this decision and expressed gratitude to the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar for his personal efforts in this regard.
They have termed this announcement as a launching pad for a bright and prosperous future of Bahawalnagar district.
