KARACHI : A 24-days Professional Competency Enhancement Program for Teachers (PCEPT) concluded Tuesday at Dow University of Health Sciences.This intensive training program was organized by Dow University in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC) at its Professional Development Centre. 35 faculty members from different constituent institutions of Dow University participated in the Program.Addressing the Concluding Ceremony of the Program, Vice Chancellor-DUHS, Prof. Masood Hameed Khan HEC’s teacher training program will fullfil the demand of qualified teacher in Pakistan. HEC is working very hard to build the skills of higher education teachers for the betterment of the education level in the universities of Pakistan, and also highlighted the importance of such exercises for the enhancement of teaching competencies of University teachers.He stressed on the continuation of such activities for teaching techniques and skill development of the higher education faculty of universities across Pakistan. He suggested HEC to have this course online e.g. hybrid, distanced and contact hours learning course for the enhancement of teaching competencies of University teachers and precious time saving of teachers.
