Karachi:Sindh Senior Minister for Education Pir Mazharul Haq said that the present government was trying to provide free-of-cost education to the flood-hit people in their areas and in this regard more schools were being established in flood-affected districts of Sindh in collaboration with USAID.
Talking to a delegation of USAID, which called on him here on Monday, he said that these schools would be established in seven districts of Sindh including Dadu, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, Karachi and Shahdadkot. He said that the USAID had increased annual funding in this regard to $155 million from $115 million.
Pir Mazhar praised the role of USAID for providing better education in government-run schools in the province. He said that his department was trying to provide better education in the flood-affected areas.The news.
