People urged to unite LAHORE educational institutional

LAHORE educational institutional across the provincial metropolis on Sunday organized ceremonies to celebrate the country’s 65th Independence Day.


A number of universities and colleges had planned flag-hoisting ceremonies and other events, including national song competitions, to celebrate the day.


The Punjab University organized a flag-hoisting ceremony outside its Admin Block, New Campus, in which besides Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, other administrative officers, heads of various faculties and departments, employees and children participated.


Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kamran appealed to the leadership of the country to spread education on an immediate basis and all the steps must be taken to facilitate people for spread of knowledge. PU’s Old Campus, Hailey College of Banking and Finance, Faisal Auditorium, and Admin Block were also illuminated on the eve of Independence Day.
