Queen Mary College Tree plantation campaign on Independence Day

Queen Mary College (QMC) Principal Dr Irfana Mariyam on Sunday inaugurated a tree plantation campaign at the college on Independence Day.

Hospitals: Independence Day of the country was celebrated with zeal and zest in all medical institutions and attached teaching hospitals of the City here on Sunday. According to a press release, the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) held a flag-hoisting ceremony at the PMA House. The ceremony was attended by the Executive Committee members, including Dr Sarwar Chauhdry, Dr Tanveer Anwar, Dr Shahid Malik, Dr Izhar Ch, Dr Ashraf Nizami, Dr Akhtar Rashid and Dr Salman Kazmi. A flag-hoisting ceremony was also held at Sheikh Zayed Hospital. Chairman & Dean SZH, Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal and other staff participated in this ceremony.

A similar ceremony was also arranged at Allama Iqbal Medical College/Jinnah Hopsital in order to celebrate the Independence Day.

Jamia Neemia: Jamia Neemia Nazim Dr Raghib Hussain Naeemi has said the nation must get united under the national flag to meet the prevailing challenges and must continue to strive for making Pakistan a prosper state.

Kissan Board: Kissan Board Pakistan organised a function here where the national flag was unfurled in connection with Independence Day celebrations. KBP President Sardar Zafar Hussain said they could not enjoy real freedom unless farmers were freed of shackles of local mafias as well as international financial institutions including the IMF.

LWMC: The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) celebrated Independence Day with students of different schools of the Walled City at LWMC’s camp at Lohari Gate.

Minhaj-ul-Quran: A LARGE number of members of the Tehreek-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran on Sunday participated in the caravan of ‘Jashn-e Azadi’.

NHMP: National Highways & Motorway Police N-5 Central celebrated the day with national spirit and zeal and made extraordinary arrangements to celebrate the day with road users.

PDP: Pakistan Democratic Party (PDP) Lahore held a ceremony to celebrate the 64th Independence Day of the country at its office on Sunday.

PWF: Working class pledged to establish an egalitarian society based upon quality and fraternity, democracy and social justice in Pakistan.

Railways: Pakistan Railways also celebrated the day with zeal and fervour and divisional headquarters were decorated with lights.The news.
